  The service will provide time for prayer and discussion and be followed by a Eucharist.

• Retirement / Appreciation Dinner for Beverly Swatsworth December 8 around 1 pm

  December 8, 2024 around 1 pm in the large front room at Hosses Restaurant on Oakland Avenue
  we will be hosting a retirement/appreciation dinner for Beverly Swatsworth for all her work over the years with Zion, as the Administrative Assistant.  If you are planning to attend please call Zion Church office at 724-465-5770 and let Vicki know. Also, If you would like to contribute to Bev’s retirement fund, please do so by bringing to the Zion Church office . The deadline for the attending count and also contributions is December 5, 2024

   

• Deck the Knave December 16 at 10:00 am

  Zion’s dedicated Worship and Music committee will be decorating the Nave for the Christmas season on Monday December 16, 2024.

  Work will begin at 10:00 AM so that we can finish in time to enjoy the Volunteer Lunch at 11:30.

• Annual Volunteer Luncheon December 16 at 11:30 am

  Monday December 16 at 11:30 am in the Social Hall

  Please see the sign-up sheet in the Church Office to let us know if you will be attending.

  Please plan to bring a covered dish to share.

  We look forward to this great fellowship opportunity every year.

   

   

   

Announcements

• Holiday Staff Bonus is a great way for us to say “THANKS!”

  Our staff, though small, is a blessing to our congregation.  Our staff works behind the scenes to make sure that our building is ready for worship and meetings and the day to day operations necessary for our congregation to function are performed,  Most of us never see the amount of effort that  is expended to make everything at Zion happen.

  We have an opportunity at holiday time to say “Thank You!” to these dedicated individuals through our annual Staff Bonus gifts.

  We hope that you consider giving generously to this effort.

• 2024 Giving Envelopes            

  Giving envelopes for the calendar year 2025 are now available.  The envelopes will be available for pick up at the rear of the nave until December 31, 2024.

    

• Zion now supports the Community Outdoor Food Pantry
  The pantry is located at 695 School Street.  Food donations can be made in the tub located at the back of the sanctuary.  Monetary donations can be put in the offering with the designation of Community Outdoor Food Pantry in the memo line of the check or on the envelope.

• Eucharistic Ministers
  Zion has eucharistic ministers available to provide in home communion for anyone who cannot attend church in person. If you would like a eucharistic minister to bring this important sacrament to you please contact Kevin Huston at 724-349-4208.
